The Rocky Mountain Bicycle Boys is a casual club for mountain bikers who love the thrill and camaraderie that comes from off-road riding with their friends. We especially enjoy exploring the endless miles of spectacular, scenic trails of Colorado's unique geography and history.

Gearing up for the Summer Season

We just wrapped up our winter ski trips.  This year we visited the resorts of Steamboat Springs, Winter Park, and Beaver Creek.  While there's still some great skiing to be had up in the mountains, it's time to start thinking about the upcoming summer season.  Trip sponsors are already busy getting summer trips on the calendar.  We have trips to Canon City, Moab, Buena Vista, Steamboat Springs, and Grand Junction already up!  Talks are progress for visits to Winter Park and maybe Durango!  So keep a sharp eye out for any other newly added trips or rides which may spark your interest, and get in touch with any trip sponsor quickly to put in your name.  Our trips can fill up fast.  We want to see you woo-hooing on a trip, not boo-hooing on the sidelines.

Please note that due to extensive derezzing of e-trees, we are no longer producing our monthly electronic newsletter.  So this awesome website is where you'll find the latest news, updates, and maybe some impeccable/incompetent humor that'll make you giggle/groan with utter delight/disgust.  We'll continue to slave away to keep it as current as possible, so please check back often.  Meanwhile, trip sponsors will periodically send out group emails with their latest updates, so please keep looking out for those.  Yes, we do it all for you, because, by golly, you deserve it!

Again, if you have any trip/ride ideas or suggestions on how to better run your club or our website, please let us know at webmaster.rmbb@gmail.com.  Remember: no one listens to your flapping clap trap or clapping flap trap better than the RMBB.  Hmmm, I think that should be our new club motto.

Happy Trails!

Newly Added Events
Trek Dirt Series has opened 20 different camps scheduled for 2017 through BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. They include women’s specific and co-ed options, cross-country and downhill focuses, and progressive confidence-inspiring instruction for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.  Developing skills to make riding more fun is one of our priorities, and leaving people with additional resources and the feeling that they’re part of the mountain bike community is another. The Trek Dirt Series organization works with a number of charities, scholarship partners, and trail associations such as Athletes 4 Cancer, Runamuk Life, and Whistler Off Road Cycling Association. Group discounts for camp registrations may be available if you want to sign on as a member of RMBB. Please contact info@dirtseries.com or visit there website at www.dirtseries.com for more information.
Join the gang for another fun-packed weekend in the heart of Colorado.  We'll stay at a comfy vacation home near Buena Vista, as we explore some of the many exciting adventures to be had in the Arkansas River Valley.  June's a great time for bikes, rafts, and boots as trails are dry, skies warm, and rivers fast!  We'll plan on hitting the whitewater rapids that Friday with our friends from Wilderness Aware Rafting.  Cost for three nights of lodging and most meals, will depend on group size and resulting vacation home (more details to follow).  Whitewater rafting down the Narrows and Browns Canyon costs ~$120 extra.  Due to limited beds, rafters will be given first priority.  Please contact calbiker@live.com to sign up.
Let's kick off the bike season with a trip down south to hit the trails near Canon City and in Lake Pueblo State Park.  Echo Canyon Campground will be our base camp as we make day visits to Oil Well Flats outside Canon City and South Shores Trails in Lake Pueblo State Park.  Costs and accommodations will vary from tent camping to more luxurious cabins, depending on group desires, lodging availability, and weather forecasts.  Please contact calbiker@live.com for more details.
The sun's shining, and the birds are singing.  It's feeling like Spring is upon us!  Time to plan for another visit to Utah to kick off the mountain biking season with the ever popular Moab Memorial Day Weekend Trip!  We will once again have two condos at Solano Vallejo on the golf course.  There are 12 beds and 2 garage spaces.  Cost is $200 for a bed, and $100 for a piece of garage floor.  Most meals included.  Hikers and poolside loungers are welcome.  Please contact denverdav@q.com for more info or to sign up.
RMBB observes Independence Day with a return to one of our favorite destinations.  Trails in the Yampa Valley surrounding Steamboat Springs offer riding experiences as varied as the scenery.  We'll stay four nights at a private home near the base area and public services.  Accommodations are priced per bed: King bedroom-$600; Queen bedroom-$500; Twin bed-$300.  Sorry, this trip has filled.  Please contact RacerX29er@Gmail.com for more information or to get on the waiting list.
