The Rocky Mountain Bicycle Boys is a casual club for mountain bikers who love the thrill and camaraderie that comes from off-road riding with their friends. We especially enjoy exploring the endless miles of spectacular, scenic trails of Colorado's unique geography and history.

Summertime Fun!

We hope you're enjoying the summer.  It's peak biking season.  All of the best bike trails should be open, even those along the highest mountain passes.  Now's the best time to get on the saddle.  We just completed our weekends trips to Moab and on the Arkansas River (check out our pics!) and to Steamboat Springs.

We have two trips left for this season: Grand Junction over Labor Day and the newly added Crested Butte Fall Foliage Trips.  But what's this?  We have a winter trip on the books already?!?  Yeah, Baby, Steamboat Springs in January 2018 is officially open for registration!  As always, keep a sharp eye out in case we add any last-minute trips or rides which may spark your interest, and get in touch with any trip sponsor quickly to put in your name.  Our trips can fill up fast.  We want to see you woo-hooing on a trip, not boo-hooing on the sidelines.

Please note that due to extensive derezzing of e-trees, we are no longer producing our monthly electronic newsletter.  So this awesome website is where you'll find the latest news, updates, and maybe some impeccable/incompetent humor that'll make you giggle/groan with utter delight/disgust.  We'll continue to slave away to keep it as current as possible, so please check back often.  Meanwhile, trip sponsors will periodically send out group emails with their latest updates, so please keep looking out for those.  Yes, we do it all for you, because, by golly, you deserve it!

Again, if you have any trip/ride ideas or suggestions on how to better run your club or our website, please let us know at webmaster.rmbb@gmail.com.  Remember: no one listens to your flapping clap trap or clapping flap trap better than the RMBB.  Hmmm, I think that should be our new club motto.

Happy Trails!

It has been a long while since we've visited the delightful town of Crested Butte.  So long many of us seem to be getting the CB-withdrawal jitters!  So if for you, a year simply isn't a year without a visit to the birth town of mountain biking, then consider visiting the Butte during the fall foliage season.  The aspens, cottonwoods, and oaks along Kebler Pass are renown for putting on arguably the best autumn show in the entire state.  A nice vacation rental in the town of CB itself will serve as basecamp while we spend the days marveling at the brilliant fall scenery by boot, bike, or jeep.  The cost of $250 covers three nights of lodging and most meals.  Sorry, this trip has filled.  Please contact calbiker@live.com to get on the waiting list.
Trek Dirt Series has opened 20 different camps scheduled for 2017 through BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.  They include women’s specific and co-ed options, cross-country and downhill focuses, and progressive confidence-inspiring instruction for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.  Developing skills to make riding more fun is one of our priorities, and leaving people with additional resources and the feeling that they’re part of the mountain bike community is another.  The Trek Dirt Series organization works with a number of charities, scholarship partners, and trail associations such as Athletes 4 Cancer, Runamuk Life, and Whistler Off Road Cycling Association.  Group discounts for camp registrations may be available if you want to sign on as a member of RMBB.  Please contact info@dirtseries.com or visit their website at www.dirtseries.com for more information.
RMBB will spend the last holiday weekend of summer revisiting some of our favorite trails.  The Grand Valley in western Colorado is home to legendary rides near Fruita and Grand Junction.  We'll stay three nights at two private homes near Colorado National Monument and Lunch Loop / Tabeguache trailhead.  We'll visit local restaurants for evening meals.  Sorry, this trip has filled.  Please contact RacerX29er@Gmail.com for more information or to get on the waiting list.
