Silver Creek Trail
Built by town local, Smedley Delfeld, over the past 6 years, Silver Creek is a 5-mile, technical singletrack trail connecting Georgetown with Lawson.  Originally a narrow wagon trail built in the 1860's to bring silver from the mines high above Georgetown, the Silver Creek trail now winds along the I-70 valley, clinging precariously to steep canyon walls, crossing numerous narrow ramps and skirting precipitous cliffs. While the trail grade is very moderate, this is not a quick or easy ride. The penalty for being careless could well be serious injury or death.  Trail starts from the side of a private driveway.
