St. Vrain and Coney Flats Loop
While mostly jeep trails, this 9-mile loop makes for a fun visit especially on hot summer days. Starting at the campground just a mile west of the town of Peaceful Valley and if ridden in a counter-clockwise direction, most of the climbing is done on the easier dirt road along Middle St. Vrain Creek. Just under 4 miles, the loop turns left onto the rougher Coney Flats jeep trail. After a short but steep climb, bikers will arrive upon a wide, shallow stream crossing at Coney Creek. Nicknamed "the Lake," this crossing is a favorite for jeepers and some bikers to plow through for maximum wet fun. The trail drops gradually from there towards Beaver Reservoir. A short but very steep singletrack closes the loop from the Reservoir back to the campground.
Park at the day use lot of the campground.
