Canyon Creek Loop
This challenging, 20-mile loop can be found about 20 miles west of Poncha Springs, just north of the tiny town of Sargents along Hwy 50.  The ride is done routinely in the counter-clockwise direction so the climb can be done on the jeep trails and the descents are reaped on sweet singletrack.  The loop starts from the Snowblind campground and climbs 2700' unrelentingly towards Tomichi Pass over several miles.  The trail then breaks off as a singletrack as it climbs another punishing 700' over Paywell Mountain and then along the ridge of Granite Mountain before finally dropping 10 thrilling miles down the Canyon Creek drainage and looping back to the end at the campground. Park along side of the road by Snowblind Campground.
