Ringtail Trail
The Ringtail Trail is a 6.1-mile singletrack which connects the Indian Creek Trail with the 3.5-mile double-looped Swallowtail Trail and other trails around Roxborough State Park.  While the trail is rated easy to moderate in technical difficulty, its remoteness and overall length, when done as an out-an-back with Swallowtail, make it a more challenging ride.  Furthermore, it starts and ends high, off from the Indian Creek Trailhead, so riders are advised to save some energy for the inevitable long (1,700’ vertical) climb back out.  Roundtrip from the upper lot (beginning on the Indian Creek Trail) when combined the double loops of the Swallowtail Trail, the ride is a total of 17.3 miles.  Ringtail does have a lot to offer: a very rideable singletrack tread, few crowds, and great views of the Denver skyline and foothill rock formations.
