Glenwood Canyon Bike Path
A lot of reward for not much effort, Glenwood Canyon is one of the most spectacular landforms around and the best way to see it is from the bike path. I-70 is always present—as often as not as a concrete retaining wall next to your shoulder—but the towering rock walls and the Colorado River easily overshadow it. You don’t have to be in great shape or much of a rider to tackle this bike path, but it’s also a great place for strong riders to get in some quality spinning time while enjoying Nature’s landscaping at its best. The principle drawback is all other people enjoying it along with you, particularly around the rest areas, though the crowd thins out toward the eastern end and you can go for miles without encountering anyone.
