Aspen to Crested Butte Loop
Involving more than 50 miles and 8000' of climbing on mostly jeep trails and some singletrack, this high mountain classic is certainly not for the newbie riders. The route is usually done from Ashcroft, near Aspen, over Taylor Pass into Crested Butte and back to Ashcroft over Pearl Pass. The wise will spend a day or two in Crested Butte to rest up. Despite the difficulty, this scenic and rewarding ride is a must for any serious mountain biker.
Crested Butte end at the junction of Hwy 135 and CR 738.
