COLORADO TRAIL: Cumberland Basin to Junction Creek
This glorious, 19-mile downhill segment marks the end of the famous Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango.  Bikers looking for a wild ride and 7000' of downhill start with a shuttled drop-off near 12,000' Kennebec Pass.  The trail then winds down over talas fields, around spectacular waterfalls, and though riparian and pine forests.  Stopping briefly for the final overlook at Gudy's Rest, the trail then drops down a series of tight switchbacks to Junction Creek.  This is the fitting reward that lies 486 miles from Denver.  Welcome to Durango!! End of CR 124 at Cumberland Basin.
