Indian Creek Loop
The Indian Creek Loop is a great ride that is a well kept secret.  This 14.6-mile trail swoops through dense woods on single and double track trail.  There are no magnificent views along the way, but no matter, as you will be concentrating on the trail unwinding beneath your wheels as your race through the forest.  There are a couple of very steep (but mercifully short) sections that may require you to hike-a-bike, but overall the 2500 feet of elevation gain is quite manageable.  The loop can be ridden in either direction, but most riders prefer to go counter clockwise.  This trail is popular with equestrians, but its remote location means there are very few hikers about.  Most riders take about three hours to complete the loop.  Also allow about 90 min. drive time both to and from Denver to get to the trailhead. At Indian Creek Campground.  There is a $4 per vehicle fee at the trailhead parking lot.
